There is 100% Freeport Exemption in all three categories for manufacturers: raw materials, goods in process and finished goods. Though many counties offer some form of Freeport Exemption, few offer the complete package that Forsyth County does. Distributors pay no taxes on inventory destined for out of state shipment.
