The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce strives to provide our community's existing businesses with resources that support their growth. This is accomplished by assisting local businesses with accessing business development resources, financial services, market research, and strategic networking events.
In 2011 the expansion of local businesses accounted for nearly 60% of our community’s economic development projects.
The following programs are available to assist local businesses with expanding in the City of Cumming and Forsyth County:

Financial Resources
Existing Industry Site Visit Program
On the last Thursday of each month our community’s economic development leaders visit local businesses to tour their facilities and discuss such resources as:
- Tax credits, exemptions, and abatements
- Workforce development resources
- Financial assistance programs
- Utility rate reduction programs
Each site visit includes complimentary assistance from representatives of:
- The Georgia Department of Economic Development
- The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce
- Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute

Demographic Snapshot Reports analyze our community’s population by race, sex age ranges, household size, household type, household value, household income, and more
- Retail Opportunity Gap Report (Click here for sample PDF)
- Our organization is pleased to assist you with identifying the oversupplied and undersupplied sectors of our community’s retail market. The Retail Opportunity Gap Report will allow you to analyze corporate sales figures and household expenditure estimates for a variety of retail outlets. The retail stores contained in this report are derived from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
- Pulse of Business Report (Click here for sample PDF)
- The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to assist you with analyzing the characteristics of businesses within a particular geographic area. The Pulse of Business Report will allow you to analyze a geographic area in terms of its total number of business establishments, types of businesses, number of employees per business, and sales (in millions). The report will also allow you to identify the total number of establishments having 20 or more employees by 2-digit SIC codes.
- Aerial Map Report
- This report features aerial images, flood plains maps, and topography maps for a given geographic area.
- Traffic Count Report
- This report features an aerial map that provides traffic counts for major vehicular arteries.
